LENS
I like to think of myself as a flower. Flowers bloom and regenerate throughout the seasons, evolving as they grow. LENS is a very personal project representing this metaphor. To be seen in parts, the image of a flower is broken into pieces as if it were being viewed through a window. The partitioning of the composition reflects how we are seen by others in parts, only a fraction of the whole of who we are. The various colors represent the perspective of those who see us, each influenced by their own lives and experiences. The print is cut into patches and stitched onto a handmade tote as a symbol of our complex being.
